Reconstitution Steps
Use clean technique and a new sterile syringe/needle. Avoid touching needle tips, rubber stoppers after cleaning, or any sterile surfaces.
Prep the area
Wash your hands. Be in a clean environment. Remove the cap of the vial and wipe the rubber stopper with alcohol and let it dry before piercing.
Fill syringe with air
Remove the caps on either end. Pull the plunger back to the 100 unit mark, which equals 1 mL of air in the syringe.
Draw 1 mL Bacteriostatic water
With the vial on a flat surface, insert the needle into the circle on top of the rubber stopper and push all the air in the syringe into the vial. Then tilt the needle and vial upside down and draw 100 units of the bac water into the syringe.
Angle into vial of powder
Tilt the vial with the powder and insert the needle, pointing it towards the wall of the vial away from the powder. Allow the vacuum to pull the water into the vial. No need to push the syringe, typically. Point the needle towards the side walls and not at the powder directly.
Roll to dissolve
Gently roll the vial between your palms sideways, allowing the powder to dissolve in the bac water solution. Do not shake. Be gentle in the dissolving process. Just turn it slowly until all the powder is gone and it is a clear liquid. Refrigerate from this point on.
Measuring Rule
After the bacteriostatic water has been injected into your vial of powder, each 10 units you draw into your syringe equals 1 mg.
Common Conversions
For a 10mg dose in 1mL of solution
| Syringe units | Dose equivalence |
|---|---|
| 5 units | 0.5 mg |
| 10 units | 1 mg |
| 15 units | 1.5 mg |
| 20 units | 2 mg |
| 25 units | 2.5 mg |
| 50 units | 5 mg |
| 100 units | 10 mg |
Clean handling
- Use sterile supplies and avoid touching needle tips.
- Do not use if the seal is damaged or the liquid has particles after dissolving.
After reconstitution
Note the date you mixed it. When refrigerated, quality and potency may start to diminish after 60 days. Follow product labeling, your protocol, or professional instructions.
Light protection
We send a vial case for the first of each peptide you order so you can keep it out of the light while refrigerated. Refrigerator lights may come on dozens of times as the door is opened and closed, and the case is designed to help keep the vial dark.
